A Flavor Well Classic
This quick & simple, easy-to-make chili recipe is sure to impress family, friends, and heck, even the judges at your next chili cook-off. Follow the steps below, but if you feel like it, get creative.
2 LBS Ground Meat
8 OZ Flavor Well Chili Seasoning (One Packet)
2 Cans Tomato Sauce (approximately 30 fl. oz.)
2 Cans Black Beans (drained & rinsed)
1 Cup Water
2 Tbs Butter
- Place 2 Tbs of butter or oil in a large sauce pan on medium-high, then add the ground meat and stir occasionally until it is fully cooked. Ground Beef (73% lean 27% fat) is our standard for this recipe, but use whichever ground meat you prefer (turkey, pork, chicken, lamb, etc.).
- When the meat is fully cooked and begins to brown, add one cup of water to the sauce pan, then add the entire 8 OZ packet of all natural Flavor Well Chili Seasoning and stir until the seasoning is evenly distributed.
- Next, add two cans of tomato sauce (roughly 30 fl. oz., but a little more or less won't hurt) and stir, then mix in the black beans.
- When everything is mixed well, cover the sauce pan and let simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring every few minutes to prevent scalding.
For more flavor, add some fresh red onion, cilantro, chives, sour cream, or pepper flakes
For a more mild flavor, add more tomatoes or beans to the mix.
